gTLD DOMAIN NAMES FAQS 1. Domain name registration: 1.1 Domain name registration process: - Users can register domain names according to the domain name registration process: 2.2 Request confirmation of domain name owner information after registration: - According to the Registrar agreement between P.A Vietnam and ICANN (RAA), the Registrar is required to verify with the Domain Registrar to verify contact information. This verification will be carried out annually by the Registrar to ensure contact information is accurate and up to date. The domain name may be suspended if the subject does not perform this confirmation. When a domain name is suspended, the domain name's website and email will stop working. This pause will not affect domain name lifecycles and domain name renewals. - After registering a domain name, the domain name holder will receive an email from the Registrar to confirm whether his registration information is correct? - If the domain name holder's information is correct, the domain name holder must click on the confirmation link on the email to confirm. - If the domain name holder does not confirm within the time specified by the registrar. The domain name will be temporarily suspended until the domain name holder confirms the information. 2. Renewing a Domain Name: 2.1 Domain lifecycle of generic top-level domains (gTLD): - After the domain name expires, the domain name holder has 30 days from the expiration date to continue paying the domain name renewal fee. - After 30 days from the date the domain name expires. The domain name will be transferred to Redemption status. Within the next 35 days, the domain name holder has the right to restore the domain name according to the process in section 2.3 below. - After 35 days from when the domain name changes to status, it must be bought back at a high price. If the domain name owner does not restore, the domain name will enter deletion status within the next 5 days. In the deletion status, the domain name holder can not renew or restore this domain name. - After 5 days from transferring the domain name to deletion status, the domain name will be deleted and transferred to a state allowing new registration. 2.2 Renewing a domain name process: - Domain name holder can also use the domain name automatic renewal feature (Auto-Renew) as follows: 2.3 The process of recovering expired domain names has shifted to a state where they must be bought back at a high price (Redemption): - When the domain name is expired and the domain name holder does not renew, after 30 days (this time depends on the type of domain name) from the expiration date, the domain name will be changed to a state where it must be bought back at high price (redemption). The domain name restoration fee managed by P.A Vietnam Registrar for regular domain names is 150 USD plus a minimum 1-year domain name renewal fee. The recovery fee is only collected when we successfully restore the domain name.
